Forget ports! /usr/src is bad enough. Running
buildworld, it takes
longer to build the flippin' compilers (llvm) than it does to build the
entire rest of the OS. This is not progress.
Common thread: LLVM is written in C++.
(Also, at some point during compilation, at least some versions
grow quite big, using 20 GB of RAM or whatever. And C++ is hard
on the linkers as well...)
