between SV and SVR2 when
someone finally got rid of all those Bourne macros that made the C look like
Algol or whatever.
Yes, I remember that. It was a real breath of fresh air. It was
really USG at that point and not "the Labs" (= the Research group).
I think shell functions came in at that point, too.
