Correction: The version of M6 for UNIX was called M4.
Maybe because it was
only 2/3 as complete?
IIRC the V6 manual mentions m6, and m4 shows up in V7. But it may
have been v5 -> v6 where that happened.
If m6 was Fortran and m4 C, then that would (sort of) explain the change.
