There needs to be a book with stuff like this.
The book would be great indeed, but what about a documentary with
interviews with the greatest UNIX minds. I remember two very good
documentaries about Linux from 2001 -- Revolution OS and The Code and
I consider them a definite resource about history of Linux in the late
90s. A time capsule. Really fascinating stuff.
Jason Scott's documentaries about BBS culture of the 80s and text
adventure games phenomenon are also of very high quality.
Imagine such documentary about UNIX of the 70s and 80s!
