On ancient UNIX, my editor of choice was 's' from Software Tools, its
main advantage being that it didn't require curses.
That editor was from "A Software Tools Sampler" by Webb Miller, not
"Software Tools" by Kernighan and Plauger.
I happened to pull out my copy of that book a week or so ago. It's truly
strange looking at pre-ANSI / pre-POSIX code.
I feel like that book did not have the same sort of eternally true value
as the two Software Tools books do.
