The numbering starts at 0 of course, so that tm(0,3)
is indeed a standalone mkfs.
This may be obvious to you, but to me it's flat out amazing. Thanks for
giving me your insight. I never would have thought to use strings on the
tape segments, but it is so incredibly helpful.
