I only ran into COBOL once at the Labs. They called me in to do a security sanity check
on the new WorldNet service.
They had decided to transmit account data (I think) via FTP implemented in COBOL. I was
stunned.
But they had already made the decision and implemented it. I guess they got the syntax
right.
