Configuring a uunet node
Negotiating a connection with another uunet node
(Back in the mid-1980s when I wanted to connect IBM Research connect to
uunet we started with friends at DEC, since their node was pretty central.
Their management intervened and told us that we could connect through
decvax if we called our machine 'ibm-vax' ... I rejected that. We ended up
connecting through another research lab nearby.)
(Some time ago I played a MMORPG where you got to name your characters. I
named one IHNP4.)

CTRL/S and CTRL/Q are used for flow control in a shell command
line session
Also would be happy to know.

But I don't know the answer to Ctrl-D. :( And also the bus error
and maybe the segmentation fault if it hasn't to do with a segment
register.
