In my copy of the BSD documentation (Unix System Manager’s Manual, with the red ring
binder) the TUNEFS(8) page dated 20 February 1983 has “You can tune a file system, but you
can’t tune a fish” as the last line.
Noted as the 4th Berkeley Distribution
Inside the cover it says: Printed by the USENIX Association as a service to the UNIX
