Libraries on the Web

Libraries On The Web

Much of the information out there on the Internet is being ``catalogued'' and cross-referenced, with the results being placed on the net. This can be of use to both undergraduate and post-graduate students, as well as for lecturers.

An example is the Computing Library kept at CERN in Switzerland.

Even with these, the snowdrift of information out there can become unmanageable.

I suggest a research group/department keep a communal web document which keeps useful document references, in some categorised format.

This allows the group to `share' their hotlist, and allows newly-found information to be passed around by word of mouth (pointer?).
