We lost Konrad Zuse on this day in 1995; he invented the world's first programmable computer -- the Z3 -- which was unfortunately lost in the Berlin bombing during 1943.
He is also known for being a pioneer in digital physics and has written a very peculiar book on the subject[1]. Highly recommended if anyone is interested in those subjects.
