The mailing lists for FreeBSD are open to the public, and may be joined
or mailed to by anyone.  To join a list, or see which lists are available,
send mail to:

        majordomo@freefall.cdrom.com

And send the text string "help" (without quotes) as your message.

If all you want to do is join a list, you can also simply say:

        subscribe       list-name       [address]

Where `list-name' is the name of the list you'd like to join, and
[address] is an optional e-mail address to which you'd like the
mail sent.  If not specified, it will default to your own (originating)
address.

Examples:

                subscribe freebsd-hackers
                subscribe freebsd-questions bsd-querants-list@bigcorp.com
